All the programming geniuses, get ready to show you hacking skills to develop cool, innovative and useful applications. A 24 hours long Hackathon will organized during I-CARE 2016, challenging your abilities to quickly learn new APIs and use them for implementing your ideas in the most effective way. Prepare yourself well for this competition, as there are attractive prizes to be given away to top 3 winners. Following information will help you in your preparation.


Timings will be updated soon

Day 1: A tutorial session on Bluemix, immediately followed by the beginning of Hackathon that will last for 24 hours.
Day 2: Final submissions, presentation & evaluation of working demos, announcement of winners.

Development Platform:

• All application are mandatory to be deployed on Bluemix.
• You must use at least 1 Bluemix service excluding database and web application services.
• You must use at least 1 Bluemix service excluding database and web application services.
• You are free to use any open source libraries covered under GPL license.

Hackathon Theme:

To be announced on the day of competition

Presentation Format

• Teams with timely submissions will get a chance to present their application in front of judges
• Presentation should primarily include a working demo.
• You should explain the usability of application, implementation approach and various APIs that you would use.
• You can take help of any presentation tools like PPT, PDF or you can simply talk. There is no restriction.
• You will get 8min for presentation, followed by 2min for Q&A.

• Presentation in front of judges


• Once the Hackathon is started, you can work from anywhere. There is no restriction.
• We will arrange a hall, wifi and snacks for those who want to stay back in campus and develop their apps.
• Bluemix account information will be share on the day of event.
